Gary Sloan

Gary-SloanGary Sloan serves as Chief Executive Officer for San Ramon Regional Medical Center. Gary Sloan has worked for Tenet Health System for over 28 years. He has served in his current position since May 2003. Prior to that time, Mr. Sloan served as CEO of Doctor’s Medical Center-San Pablo/Pinole from 1992–2003. He previously worked for Tenet as COO at Alvarado Hospital in San Diego from 1986 to 1992. Mr. Sloan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a Masters degree in Health Services Management and Hospital Administration from the University of California, Los Angeles.

San Ramon Regional Medical Center is a 187-bed licensed acute care hospital located in San Ramon, California, serving the community since 1990. Owned and operated by Tenet Healthcare Corporation, the hospital offers a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services, including 24-hour emergency care and a full range of diagnostic services. A leader in minimally invasive surgery, the hospital was the first on the West Coast to purchase the da Vinci™ Surgical System, a computer-enhanced robotic surgical system. The hospital has a Family Birthing Center, which has a Level II Intensive Care Nursery, and staffs a pediatrician from Children’s Hospital Oakland in the hospital 24-hours a day. Specialty programs include: Heart and Chest Services, Blood Conservation Program, Cancer Services, Joint Treatment Program, Outpatient Surgery Center, Pediatric Program, Spine Program, Therapy Services for Children and Adults, Wound Care, as well as an occupational medicine program, and Well-Works, offering employee healthcare services to businesses.

Mr. Sloan is a seven-time recipient of Circle of Excellence, Tenet Health System’s highest Chief Executive Officer award, and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, a past president of the East Bay Hospital Council, an active member in the American Heart Association, a Board member of Leadership San Ramon Valley, and a member of the San Ramon Rotary Club where he was Rotarian of the Year in 2011. Mr. Sloan was honored as the Business Person of the Year by the San Ramon Chamber of Commerce in 2009.
