Class of 2015

The Class of 2015 raised over $5,000 to put toward a teen stress relief program called Challenge Success. Ode To Leadership San Ramon Valley, Class of 2015
A space was created in a daring way
we made room for each other to breathe in and say
the things the heart carried and the meaning it held
listening with passion the heart was compelled
to open a window and reach out a hand
to self, one another so we might understand
what it means to be human and live a full life
what it means to relate to the joys and the strife.
sure the lunches were yummy and the material was rich
we took in the lessons and dared “perfect pitch”
foundations of leadership, our leadership retreat
do you remember flinging chickens through that dust and heat?
governmental planning and setting the stage
we voted a Mayor who made the front page! – thank you Mayor Miller!
healthy community and cultural arts
we witnessed passion; heard the whisper of hearts.
media, communications, the videos were grand
rapping to fresh prince!?…I give you a hand!
Community economics, well what can I say
Did we ever settled the budget that day?
And then education, the teen’s and their voice
It seems this was our calling, our class project choice
To raise money and offer the children a chance
That they live their potential and dare their own dance
As chairs creeped in closer and Suggestions were told
Our leadership qualities began to unfold
Waiting on tables and offering wine
We give to the children and dare them to shine!
Beginning as strangers, we’re leaving as friends
Taking home with us wisdom That never ends
For leadership qualities come from within
They’ve given us the melody
Let’s continue to sing!
