Cultural Arts & Graduation Class Sessions Postponed

The final two class sessions of this year’s program – Cultural Arts and Graduation – have been postponed until a time when we can again congregate in groups of 50-100 people, hopefully early in 2021.  A silver lining is that the Class of 2020 will have more time to complete their exciting class project.

First-ever Zoom Class

Because of the COVID-19 Shelter-in-Place and social distancing requirements, we moved our April Regional Planning class to Zoom and managed to have a good class.  Although we had to planned field trip to Concord and bus tour of the Concord ReUse Project, the project manager Guy Bjerke provided a current update on the project.  We were also able to have the Casa Monte Council meeting role play activity, with public comment from the developers, supporters, and opponents, as well as some excellent and timely discussions about regional planning and cooperation.
