The SRV Leadership Class of 2026 is proud to lead a community impact project focused on increasing awareness, education, and accessibility to life-saving Narcan resources throughout the San Ramon Valley. In partnership with the National Coalition Against Prescription Drug Abuse (NCAPDA), they have invited businesses, non-profits and public agencies to place Narcan distribution boxes in publicly accessible locations to help ensure individuals have the tools needed to respond to opioid-related emergencies. A grant from the Dougherty Valley/San Ramon Rotary Foundation provided the funding for the distribution boxes.
This initiative will be celebrated with a ribbon cutting event on April 30th recognizing the community partners and businesses who have stepped forward to support this important effort. (See the invitation below.) Together, we aim to bring awareness to an issue that often goes unspoken even in communities with a high standard of living and to foster open dialogue, preparedness, and compassion. This project not only supports the well-being of our local community, but also broadens understanding of the larger challenges facing communities beyond San Ramon Valley.
