Community Economics Day @ Chevron Park

Chevron has graciously hosted this Leadership class for many years, and we are very appreciative of their continued support.

Class participants:  please be prompt (or early) as you must check in at the security desk and this can take some time.

Directions to Chevron Park from Route 680: Exit 680 at Bollinger Canyon Road, East. Follow Bollinger Canyon a short distance to the Chevron Park sign. Turn into the complex and drive to the left of the guard station. You need not stop there. Turn right and right again into Parking Lot 1, 2 or 3. Enter Building A and ask for “Leadership” at the security desk. Your name will be on a security list. Reminder: You MUST have your photo ID with you.

Regional Planning Day @ SRV Fire Protection District Board Room

Education Day @ Diablo Valley College - San Ramon Campus
Mar 3 @ 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Class members gain an appreciation for the variety of issues facing today’s educators and the educational system and gain insight into how these issues impact our local education community (San Ramon Valley Unified School District). Members also have opportunities to observe student learning and school climate through classroom observations and shadowing the principal of a local school.

During this session, participants acquire an understanding of the role communication plays in leadership including the ever-changing role of technology in communication and how the various types of new media influence public opinion.

Wrap-Up/Graduation Class @ Town Meeting Hall
Jun 9 @ 10:00 am – 4:30 pm

The final class wraps up the program with leadership concepts that apply to both your professional and personal life.  The Ring of Reciprocity will reinforce your connection to each other.

The graduation ceremony follows, next door at the Village Theater.

Leadership Retreat @ Amador Rancho Community Center
Oct 6 @ 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

The retreat is an opportunity for class members to get to know one another on a more personal level and beyond the traditional boundaries of communication. Team building exercises focus on fundamental team development skills, empowerment, and the creation of synergy and trust among the class participants.

Participants should wear comfortable clothing and shoes.

Healthy Community Day @ San Ramon Regional Medical Center, South Building Conference Room
Nov 3 @ 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

The goal of this session is to explore some of the issues facing families, children and the elderly in the San Ramon Valley. Through the fieldwork and class discussions, the program participants will discover what resources are available to address these issues, as well as identify how to access these resources. It is also a day in which volunteer opportunities with non-profit human services providers are discussed.
